When Is Seagull Season?
Every year from November to February, thousands of migratory seagulls flock to Bang Pu Recreation Center (สถานตากอากาศบางปู) in Samut Prakan. The peak viewing time is around sunset (roughly 17:00–18:00) when the birds gather in massive flocks over the water. It's one of Thailand's most spectacular natural events — and it happens just minutes from Bangkok.
The Perfect Seagull Season Dinner Plan
Watch the seagulls at sunset → drive 10 minutes to Sunspirit → enjoy dinner with ocean views until 21:00. Our elevated terrace catches the last light of golden hour while you dine. The dual Thai-Western menu works for any group — seafood lovers and pasta fans at the same table. Reservations recommended during peak season (December–January) as Bangpu gets busy.
What to Order After a Sunset Visit
After standing at the waterfront watching seagulls, you'll want something warming and satisfying. Our recommendations: ต้มยำกุ้งน้ำข้น (creamy tom yum, ฿350), แกงส้มกุ้งสดและผักรวม (sour curry with fresh prawns), or our signature Gulf Platter if you're celebrating. For wine lovers, our bar has a curated selection perfect for watching the last light fade over the Gulf.
